If you have been in a high-risk area, are a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, or are experiencing symptoms such as runny nose, sore throat, cough, or fever, please contact reception prior to your appointment. Blooms the Chemist Hobart offers contact-free delivery of medications and prescriptions if you are experiencing symptoms or self-isolating.

After Hours Doctor Hobart provides urgent general practice care when your regular doctor is otherwise unavailable. After Hours Doctor Hobart ensures that we practice only the highest standard of care. With your permission, notes from your After Hours Doctor Hobart consultation are forwarded to your own doctor regarding your illness and treatment. This allows for your usual doctor to be kept informed on your health's condition. 

After Hours Doctor Hobart is here to try and help reduce the waiting time for patients at the Emergency Department. We are located 1 block from the Royal Hobart Hospital at 71 Bathurst Street. We are committed to providing the best care for all patients in the Greater Hobart area. 

After Hours Doctor Hobart offers telehealth consults for patients who are at risk of COVID-19 and/or have active respiratory symptoms, if you are an at risk individual or have symptoms including cough, shortness or breath, chest pain, runny nose or a sore throat, please consider booking a telehealth appointment to which a normal after-hours consultation fee applies. 

Please note, telehealth consultations through our after-hours practice incur a non-rebatable fee. See our fees page for more information.

Saturday: 9am - 10pm
Sunday: 9am - 10pm

After Hours Doctor Hobart is located inside Blooms the Chemist Hobart. 
FREE patient parking is located to the right-hand side (north) of the building in the signed parking area.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE:

If you are waiting for results of a blood test or scan, please call our day-time clinic on (03) 6169 311 (option 1), Monday - Friday between 10am-5pm. We have nurses available who can talk to you about your results during this time. 

If you require a medical certificate, please make a request with your doctor at the time of your consultation. 

Immunisations are currently not available in our after-hours clinic, as a nurse is required onsite. Please call reception on (03) 6169 3111 (option1) to discuss booking your immunisation.
